"The little crying girl from last night's "American Idol" has been revealed. She's 13-year-old Ashley Ferl from Riverside and she was paid to cry for Sanjaya. No! She said she was just so excited to be there. The family won tickets for a taping of "Smarter Than a 5th Grader" on a website. The tickets also included attending the dress rehearsal for Idol. At the dress rehearsal young Ashley turned on the waterworks and producers quickly noticed and asked the family to attend the live taping. I see how it is.
Ashley said she's rooting for "Sanjaya, Melinda, Gina and Jordin" and would not say who her favorite was.
Isn't 13 a little old for that kind behavior? I thought she was like 8. Damn, at 13 I was crying alright, but that's because the boy next door was a little too big. I'm joking! He wasn't that big."
